Katherine has proudly called Snoqualmie home for over two decades. Alongside her husband, Victor, she raised twin daughters here, from their first days of kindergarten to their graduation from Mount Si High School. During that time, Katherine immersed herself in community service: volunteering in local schools, serving on city advisory committees, and holding leadership roles such as Board President of Encompass, a regional nonprofit supporting children and families, and President of the Snoqualmie Library Board following the opening of the city’s new library.
Katherine’s journey into public service was inspired by her strong connection to the Snoqualmie community. After being appointed and then elected to the City Council in 2017, she was elected Mayor in 2022. With 20 years of business experience in supply chain management and internal audit, she brought a collaborative, results-driven approach to modernize outdated systems, improve emergency preparedness, and strengthen staffing and transparency across city operations.
As Mayor, Katherine is focused on ensuring Snoqualmie remains one of Washington’s safest and most livable cities, by investing in public safety, expanding community amenities, supporting local businesses, and advancing affordable housing for families, seniors, and workers. Her leadership has earned regional respect and endorsements from mayors throughout the Snoqualmie Valley and Eastside. Whether advocating for residents at the state capitol or working to complete long-planned projects like the Community Center expansion, Katherine leads with integrity, vision, and a deep commitment to the city she proudly serves.
